This study evaluated the efficacy and safety of the IV Midazolam - IM Meperidine conscious sedation protocol. Methods: Adult patients undergoing elective cosmetic surgeries were enrolled. Patients were excluded if they had a history of cardiac or respiratory disease or in case of pregnancy. Patient anxiety, nausea, and pain were evaluated during and after surgery. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the efficacy of percutaneous vertebroplasty for patients with painful osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures. This was a retrospective single-center study; the total number 74 percutaneous vertebroplasty was performed in 41 patients with osteoporotic vertebral body compression fractures of the I and II degrees.
